COLLECTOR’S NOTES
1. Design & Rarity Factors
– The “TV Screen” Shape Trend: The cushion/TV-screen case is the quintessential silhouette of 1970s watch design. While round vintage ladies’ watches are incredibly common and often overlooked, geometric profiles (Tonneau, Tank, and TV cases) are highly sought after by collectors who appreciate mid-century retro aesthetics.
– The Premium Sparkle/Snowflake Dial: Solid silver or white dials are standard. Finding a textured “snowflake” or “stardust” variant adds a massive premium to its visual appeal. Collectors heavily favor these textured dials because they cannot be easily faked or replicated by modern redialing practices.
– The Clean Time-Only Layout: The lack of a date window and a sweeping seconds hand keeps the dial perfectly symmetrical and emphasizes the texture of the face.
